Post Site Conference Visits
On Friday 6th, we have two post conference visits to Rubber Consultants and NPL.
Coaches will be arranged to collect you from the Alec Stewart Gate at the Kia Oval to the post-conference visit. If you have already registered for the post-conference visit, we shall email you about which one you would like to go on.

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the UK’s National Measurement Institute that creates impact from science and engineering.
Our world-leading measurement solutions are critical to business and government, accelerating research and innovation, improving quality of life and enabling trade. We ensure our cutting-edge measurement science has a positive impact in the real world.
During the 2.5 hour visit to NPL you will hear about the exciting challenges facing the measurement world, with particular reference to the redefinition of four of the seven SI base units. You will also visit 4 of the laboratories to see the science in action and chat with scientists about their work.

Visit to Rubber Consultants, Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre, Brickendonbury, Hertford
Rubber Consultants will be delighted to welcome IRC2019 conference delegates to see the facilities of our rubber-based R&D and consultancy. Rubber Consultants celebrates its 35th Anniversary this year in 2019 and uses the laboratories of the Tun Abdul Razak Research Centre (TARRC - the UK-based research centre of the Malaysian Rubber Board) to provide independent consultancy services.
Rubber Consultants has established a unique portfolio of services available to users and customers of a wide variety of elastomers and polymers. Our customer base includes clients in medical, pharmaceutical, tyre, automotive, railway, oil & gas and the construction sectors from all over the world.
After an introduction and welcome refreshments visitors will be allowed access to the laboratories to see all our facilities in particular for mixing, tyre testing, engineering, analytical, physical and dynamic testing. Tours of small groups will be escorted by our knowledgeable staff throughout the morning who will be on hand to discuss any aspect of rubber technology, R&D and testing.
There will be informal running presentations in our conference rooms that will provide more detail about some of our pioneering developments and research findings.
